Check out the mural Division 2 made with our amazing Teacher Candidate, Ms Jayme! They created a mural following the art of Lakwena Maciver, a Black contemporary artist from England. She is known for her large public artworks around the world. Lakwena’s words speak to connection and commonality between people.

In connection with Black History Month and the use of language in activism, Division 2 selected their own uplifting words to create a mural inspired by Lakwena Maciver’s artistic style. Their message is meant to inspire and highlight the ongoing fight for fundamental human rights that everyone deserves.

Have a great two week Spring Break everyone! See you back again March 31st!
