Task (Final task): Become an expert on one of Canada’s major political parties. Create a slide show to teach others about the political party.

Research questions to create a great slide show:

What are the party’s goals?  (party platform)

What is the party’s “motto?”  (slogan)  What is their colour?

Who is the party leader? What’s the party’s history? (party profile)

Who are some previous leaders?

Who are some local area candidates?

Have they been the PM before? (were they ruling party before?)

How long have they been the leader (&/or ruling party)?

If they’re elected what are they going to do (about issues like the environment, economy, pipelines, housing, immigration, etc)?

How many seats do they currently have in Parliament?

Criteria for a great slide show:

1.   Organization – Must have title, Introduction, Conclusion and Bibliography slides

2.   Information – Accurate, thorough, complete, interesting

3.   Presentation – Visually appealing…Not too many words on each slide, use point form, include powerful images, good use of colour, engaging
