MATHS: finish the Unit Review in the PRACTICE Book for Wednesday. Make sure you draw tiles carefully with colour to show + and -. Show all your work (including when you change a subtraction equation to add the opposite integer.
Reminder: unit test on integers on Friday. You need to know how to:
model integers using coloured tiles (pictorial form)
add & subtract integers using coloured tiles
add & subtract integers using numbered lines (pictorial)
add & subtract integers without using tiles or number lines (symbolic form)
solve problems with the addition & subtraction of integers (think temperature, golf scores, financial transactions, geography etc).

Unit test on integers coming up this Friday! You need to know how to add and subtract integers using tiles, a number line and without. You also need to know how to multiply & divide integers using the pattern we observed. You need to know how to write an integer based on a real world situation such as temperature, money, golf scores etc.
You are welcome to do any other lesson in the Practice Book to check your understanding. We will start the Unit Review tomorrow.

MATHS: review how to subtract integers using tiles. You can reread the lesson in the textbook online (Lesson 2.4)
1. model first integer in the equation
2. add zero pairs if there aren’t enough tiles to take away
3. circle the tiles you need to subtract
4. count the remaining tiles and that is your answer!
