STEM/STEAM FIELD TRIP: We have the opportunity to participate in a variety of design thinking challenges led by Templeton Secondary student mentors. This will be a great learning experience for our grade 7 students to practice their problem-solving skills, see STEM/STEAM in action at the high school level and develop new ideas for their own future challenges.

A letter was emailed home today about this field trip. We are looking for parent assistance to help with driving and some supervision. Please let us know if you can help with driving and supervising or just driving.

The details of the field trip are:

Place: Templeton Secondary School

Date: Tuesday, May 14th/24

Time: 9:00am-Noon

MATHS:  just a reminder we are nearly at the end of our unit on Circles and Area. We have one lesson left on creating circle graphs to represent data. So expect a unit test at the end of next week. You need to know:

• the relationships among the radius, diameter, and circumference of a circle. •how to find the areas of a parallelogram, a triangle, and a circle. • how to draw, label, and interpret circle graphs. • Determine the sum of the central angles of a circle. • Construct circles and solve problems involving circles.
